That’s right, the jolly elf makes his pilgrimage to the downtown entertainment venue for a family-friendly event that’s sure to be a delight for good little boys and girls — and their parents.
On Saturday, Dec. 22, just before Santa’s big night of gift-giving on Monday, Santa will be taking last-minute gift requests from kids and joining them for breakfast goodies. Families can enjoy a buffet breakfast featuring pancakes, sausage, eggs, pastries and orange juice at the Sports and Social Club, right in the center of Fourth Street Live!
The cost is $10, while kids 3 and under get in free. Breakfast with Santa goes from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and can be purchased at 4thstlive.com starting Nov. 26.
There will also be a craft station, so that kids can make their own presents for family members and friends.
Of course, anyone can get a picture during the event with good ole St. Nick. Some proceeds from Breakfast with Santa will be donated to Wesley House Community Services.
Free selfies with Santa
The merry man from the North Pole may have a lot of work to do getting ready for Christmas Eve, but he won’t be heading home immediately after breakfast.
Santa plans to stick around for selfies until 2:00 p.m. Remember, it takes place just a few nights before Christmas Eve, so it may be your final chance to make a social media splash with Santa. All the photos are free, so that big kids and little ones can post their shots with Santa into the Internet.
The entire family can enjoy complimentary drinks at the create-your-own hot chocolate station, with cookies to go with them. Enjoy the holiday spirit as Santa and his crew take over at Fourth Street Live!
One of the newer holiday traditions, perhaps dating back to the 1985 movie The Santa Clause. In 2018, there’s even a movie called Ugly Sweater Party. So it makes sense that the best Ugly Sweater Holiday Party is coming to Fourth Street Live! on Nov. 30.
Don’t laugh. There’s a $250 gift card on the line for the person who shows up wearing the sweater deemed ugliest of them all. The Party also features $5 jello shots, a cookie decorating competition and photos with the jolly elf himself, the man featured in many ugly sweaters, Santa Claus.
The free party starts at 9:00 p.m. at the Sports and Social Club and the Tavern.
Don’t forget that one constant throughout the holidays is…hoops. And you can join University of Louisville head basketball coach Chris Mack for his radio show at the Sports and Social Club. The shows air live from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., but the best way to get close to the action is to reserve a table downtown.
Dates for the show include Wednesday, Nov. 28; Monday, Dec. 3; Monday, Dec. 17th; and Thursday, Dec. 27th.
Each show includes food and drink specials and ticket giveaways. So catch up on the Cards with Coach Chris Mack at Fourth Street Live!
