Linkin’ Bridge

We all know the highly anticipated Breeders’ Cup comes to Churchill Downs Nov. 2-3, showcasing horse racing’s finest thoroughbreds in 14 championship races over two days.

The Breeders’ Cup brings visitors here from all over the world. And many of those visitors will find their way to Fourth Street Live!, where more than a dozen restaurants and bars will have their welcome mats in place.

There’s no better place to celebrate the races than the Breeders’ Cup Concert Series at Fourth Street Live!, featuring three nights of non-stop music and dancing in the downtown entertainment venue. Admission all three nights is FREE.

The weekend starts on Thursday night on Fourth Street, with DJs to warm things up starting at 7:00 p.m. The same goes for Friday and Saturday, with the headliners getting their shows started around 9:00 p.m.

First up is local favorite Linkin’ Bridge, an acapella group that became a local sensation two years ago when they made it to the final round of “America’s Got Talent” on the NBC network.

the Spazmatics

Band members Shon “China” Lacy, Montre Davis, Ekoe Alexanda and Big Rome Kimbrough have performed all across the country, and even had an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” The band members grew up in Louisville’s West End, and are known for warm harmonies and emotional performances.

Following Linkin’ Bridge on Thursday will be Briar Rose, performing a set of jazz-influenced standards, soul and funk tunes.

On Friday, after the first day of racing at the track, the party gets going again at Fourth Street Live!

It will be the 1980s all over again with the Spazmatics, an entertaining band whose outfits harken back to the movie “Revenge of the Nerds.” They perform cover songs from the ‘80s in bow ties, plaid pants, taped glasses, pocket protectors and short shorts.

Their concert is known as the “Ultimate New Wave ‘80s Show.”

Burning Las Vegas

Saturday’s show is really special, bringing the energy and excitement of Las Vegas to Louisville. Burning Las Vegas is a legendary show that’s been performing for two decades, bringing a choreographed, high energy multi-vocal front line to the stage, singing hits that everyone is sure to know.

Burning Las Vegas appeals to all ages, decades and genres, and the show will be rocking Fourth Street on Saturday night.

Three nights, three great shows, all FREE. That’s the Breeders’ Cup Concert Series at Fourth Street Live!
