Screen Shot 2015-07-29 at 3.40.32 PMThe Nucleus LaunchIt Training program is now accepting applications for its next training session starting at the beginning of September. LaunchIt is a program for late-stage, investment-ready startups and early-stage companies.

The 10-week program uses the Lean Launchpad methodology and the Business Model Canvas to help companies develop pitches for investors and consumers and to validate their markets before their launch.

During the program, attendees should expect to watch 30 minutes of Steve Blenk’s “How to Build a Startup” course on Udacity. They must also spend at least five hours a week outside of class talking to potential customers and validating their business model.

The class itself meets weekly on Thursday nights for three hours. Each class begins with a talk by a respected startup mentor, and during each session, attendees will work with coaches.

The price of the program is $895 per person; the price for second and third person involved in the same startup or business is $250 per person. There are scholarships available for military veterans, University of Louisville students and faculty, and low-income business owners. Applications close on Aug. 26 or once the program is full.

If you’re not sure about LaunchIt, you can attended a “Lunch & Learn” on Wednesday, Aug. 12, from noon-1 p.m. in the Nucleus TechCenter, 201 E. Jefferson St., in the third-floor conference room. Coaches and previous program attendees will be available to answer questions; lunch is provided. RSVP to [email protected].
