Attention all animal lovers, dancing fiends and/or people who like fancy dinners: There’s an event that will take adorable dogs and cats, a legendary local band and a fine dining experience and wrap them all into one splendid evening. The cherry on top? It’s hosted by Louisville media darling Angie Fenton.
The “Pearls for the Paws” benefit bash is put on by the Animal Care Society and sponsored by Strategic Wealth Designers. The event — which will be held Saturday, April 11, from 6-11 p.m. at the Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center — features dinner, live music by The Monarchs, live and silent auctions, and a cash bar.
Tickets are $75, and all proceeds go to the Animal Care Society, a nonprofit, no-kill adoption agency for dogs and cats located on Westport Road. The group prides itself on the care and attention given to each animal they take in by their devoted employees and volunteers.
