Chef Bobby Benjamin’s new restaurant Butchertown Grocery has been well publicized and highly anticipated.

While Benjamin has talked openly about his plans, he’s had a couple partners in the project who’ve remained in the shadows.

My Morning Jacket drummer Patrick Hallahan and Louisville attorney Jon Salomon of Tachau Meek PLC were silent partners in Butchertown Grocery — until today.

The restaurant, located at 1076 E. Washington St., is set to open in November, according to a news release.

The release also states that Hallahan and Salomon were the ones who brought Benjamin into the fold on the restaurant project.

“By recruiting Benjamin to helm the kitchen, and assembling a dynamic team that includes acclaimed beverage director Marie Zahn, chef de cuisine Tina Dyer and assistant general manager Derric Perkins, they launch their vision for a neighborhood venue with an extraordinary food and beverage program, matched by unparalleled hospitality,” the release states.

Butchertown Grocery will employ 37 people and is still hiring. To apply for a job as a chef, server, bartender or host, email a résumé and cover letter to [email protected].
