Blaze Pizza is expanding again in the Kentuckiana region.

Louisville-based franchisee Millennial Restaurant Group is moving into the Southern Indiana market for the first time with a store located at 1225 Veterans Square Blvd. in Clarksville, according to a news release. Millennial Restaurant Group runs three Blaze Pizza locations in Louisville, as well as two in Lexington and one in Bowling Green.

“Clarksville’s thriving retail and restaurant scene make this area a perfect fit for our flagship Southern Indiana restaurant,” said Beth Duncan, operating partner for Blaze Pizza in Clarksville, in the release.

The 2,700-square-foot Clarksville store will have 75 seats inside and 30 seats on an outdoor patio; it will employ 45.

The new location opens Monday, June 18. The following day, June 19, the location will serve free pizzas from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. to anyone who follows the company on FacebookTwitterInstagram or Snapchat.

Blaze Pizza is known for its thin-crust personal pizzas; customers can create their own or order a signature pie for around $8.

Blaze isn’t the only pizza joint coming to that area, however.

An Ohio-based pizza chain Rapid Fired Pizza is slated to open in early July at 1645 Veterans Parkway. The storefront is a mile away from the new Blaze Pizza on the Jeffersonville side of Veterans Parkway and essentially across the street from BoomBozz Craft Pizza & Taphouse.

Rapid Fired Pizza’s menu includes a selection of signature and build-your-own pizzas. Customers can order 14-inch regular or pan pizzas, as well as an 11-inch thin crust, a 9-inch pan or 10-inch gluten-free pizza. Prices for a pizza range from $6.75 to $10.75.

The company announced on its local Facebook page Friday that it is hiring.
