The Kentucky sun gods once again shone brightly for the NuLu Fest. A few things were different this year — the main stage was moved to the Green Building parking lot — and parking was somewhat challenging given all of the construction nearby.

This year’s ninth annual celebration took over the 600, 700 and 800 blocks of East Market Street from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Organizers celebrated 15 years of sonaBLAST! Records, a local record label started by the unofficial NuLu mayor Gill Holland. sonaBLAST! helped book the stage talent for NuLu Fest, which included Ben Sollee, The Pass, Quiet Hollers and Mark Geary.
