Before mashing the potatoes and stuffing the turkey for Thanksgiving with your entire extended family, take a day to relax, try some new cocktails and hear some live music with your friends at the PUZZABILITIES “Toast of the Town” gala.
The Bluegrass Center for Autism (formerly the Academy at Saint Andrews) is holding its third annual Evening of PUZZABILITIES fundraiser at Slugger Field this year. And with a mixology contest featuring local bartenders, a live and silent auction, plus live music from local artists, this year’s fundraiser is sure to be a home run.
The gala’s competing mixers will include bartenders from the city’s favorite restaurants including the Tin Roof, Molly Malone’s, Sea Hag, Prime Lounge, St. Charles Exchange, and El Camino. Not to mention dinner and cocktails will also be provided, of course.
All proceeds from this event will directly support the Bluegrass Center for Autism, which is located right here in Louisville. Since 2010, the BCA has been dedicated to providing independent living, social, behavioral, motor and speech specialized education for the growing number of children diagnosed with Autism in a comfortable classroom environment.
According to Autism Speaks, 1 out of every 88 children will be diagnosed with Autism, and families with Autistic children will typically spend $60,000 each year on special aid alone. So needless to say, the BCA is a blessing.
Cocktails, dinner, auctions, and live music all in support of such a great cause? I’ll drink to that.
