We know you’re losing sleep wondering how Katniss is going to save poor Peeta yet again, and if you just can’t wait till Nov. 21 for the next offering of “Hunger Games” — “Mockingjay: Part 1” — to premiere, you’re in luck. Jennifer Lawrence is again offering her hometown an advance screening of the film on Wednesday, Nov. 19, as a benefit for the Boys & Girls Club of Kentuckiana.
Unfortunately, Lawrence won’t be at the screening, but members of her family will, and she has covered all the costs herself to ensure all proceeds go to the Boys & Girls Club. The event is hosted by the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation, a fund of the Community Foundation of Louisville.
Tickets are $125 and can be purchased here. Doors open at 6 p.m. at Cinemark Tinseltown, and the screening will begin at 7. Attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite “Hunger Games” character for a chance to to win an autographed poster.
“Mockingjay: Part 1” is directed by Francis Lawrence (no relation), who also directed “Catching Fire,” and adds Julianne Moore to the cast as Commander Coin.
