If you’re looking for a last-minute gift for the bourbon-lover on your list, tickets to all — or even just one — of the Kentucky Derby Museum‘s “Legends Series: Bourbon Masters” would make her jump with glee.
The event offers an intimate experience with a bourbon legend, where you get to hear them talk about their experiences, taste their bourbon, snack on appetizers and ask questions afterward. Each session is hosted by the museum’s bourbon authority, Fred Minnick, who seems to ask questions and probe just as you would if you were in his seat.
The 2016 dates and speakers include a “Whiskey Women” session on Thursday, Feb. 25, featuring Kentucky’s first female master distiller Marianne Barnes, Michter’s Pamela Heilmann and Andrea Wilson, and Maker’s Mark’s Victoria MacRae-Samuels. Then, on Tuesday, March 22, Heaven Hill Brands president Max Shapira will take the spotlight, followed by Julian Van Winkle III of Rip Van Winkle Distillery on Thursday, April 14.
Just in time for the holidays, the Derby Museum is offering a special rate on all three “Legends Series” sessions. Now through Dec. 31, you can get tickets for the entire package for $150. The price will increase to $175 on Jan. 1. Click here for details.
