Screen Shot 2016-07-15 at 12.24.36 PMLouisville Digital Association is expanding its annual Digital Media Summit to two days and has rebranded it as Digital Crossroads.

Jason Falls, co-founder of LDA, and Christine Vaughan, the new president, announced the change Friday morning on Facebook Live. Vaughan is Insider Louisville’s Marketing Project and Events Manager.

The event will be Oct. 20-21, at Horseshoe Southern Indiana Hotel and Casino, and will feature a roster of  trailblazers and thinkers in the digital space along with a new workshop session featuring hands-on learning opportunities to improve digital marketing.

Digital Crossroads will feature a half-day workshop with topics like Facebook advertising, marketing locally, Snapchat, video streaming and more. It will be followed with a full-day conference with speakers including:

  • Erik Qualman — five-time best-selling author and digital marketing motivational speaker
  • Jay Baer — New York Times best-selling author of “Youtility” and “Hug Your Haters”
  • Nicole Hudson – CEO of Inbound Lead Solutions
  • Rick Wion – senior director of consumer engagement at the Kellogg Co.

More speakers also will be announced and the event will be co-hosted by NPR award-winning journalist Jack Speer and LDA’s Jason Falls.

“Our attendees for the past seven years have told us they want more — more workshops, more hands-on learning, more opportunity to network — so that’s what we’re giving them,” Falls said in a press release. “Our event has gone from a hundred folks or so a few years ago to almost 300 last year. We’ve become the premier digital marketing conference in this part of the country. So we’re raising the bar even higher in 2016.”

There are only 100 early-bird tickets available for $199, then the price rises to $249. Tickets are available online.

Thursday’s workshop will include a cocktail party, and Friday’s conference will include breakfast and lunch. All attendees will receive $10 in casino cash.
