• La Coop names sommelier Aaron Wilson as new general manager
The owners of La Coop recently named the restaurant’s sommelier Aaron Wilson as the establishment’s new general manager. In this position, Wilson will oversee La Coop’s day-to-day operations. He will also manage and mentor the service staff. Wilson, a wine enthusiast, will continue to serve as La Coop’s sommelier, a role he has held since November 2012. Wilson has a master’s degree in restaurant business from Sullivan University in Louisville, Ky. He completed the Certified Sommelier Examination (Level Two) offered by The Court of Master Sommeliers in 2011. Wilson is currently studying in preparation for the Court’s Advanced Sommelier Course and Examination (Level Three).
“Aaron’s previous experience made him the perfect candidate for the general manager position,” said La Coop co-owner Brett Davis. “In addition to his formal training, he understands our culture from his experience at La Coop.
