At Insider Louisville, we believe everyone should have their own real estate investment trust.
Here’s your chance, courtesy of Kent Oyler.
Last month, Oyler’s OPM Entrepreneurial Services newsletter announced The Real Estate Venture Exchange, a new real estate syndication looking for deals in Louisville, Lexington, Cincinnati and southern Indiana regions.
REVE is designed to create a marketplace bringing together professionals involved in commercial real estate with those who provide equity and debt capital.
It’s a place to hear news and analysis about the real estate market, evaluate new deals, and network with professionals in the industry, according to the original newsletter.
In less than a month, REVE has put together its first luncheon event, which is scheduled for tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. at The Ice House.
REVE’s featured speaker for the inaugural luncheon will be Chuck Denny, President, PNC Kentucky and Tennessee.
Denny, who began his career almost 30 years ago as a loan officer with First Kentucky National, obviously knows the regional real estate and business dynamic better than just about anyone.
Denny will discuss Louisville’s competitive economic position vis-a-vis other comparable MSAs, according to a news release.
He also will show brief videos (two, each 3 minutes) about the growth of the University of Louisville, and the development of The Parklands of Floyds Fork.
And of course, there will be The Pitch: Three real estate projects seeking equity and debt capital will be presented.
This except from the original Monday Business Briefing post explains the REVE concept:
A pool of angel investors and commercial real estate owners and developers, this organization might be the first of its kind in the United States.” The interest from high-net-worth individuals in this type of investment has been growing, and REVE will provide the forum,” states Stephen Lukinovich, partner, Mountjoy Chilton Medley in the news letter.
Here are the event details:
