The Fund for the Arts has partnered with local ice cream maker Comfy Cow to help promote summer experiences for kids in the arts. The new website FUNforthearts.com hosts more than 50 summer camps for kids ages 3-18 from eight arts education groups. You can book your child’s summer camp experience right from the site.
“The Comfy Cow is proud to support Fund for the Arts, its cultural partners and their one-of-a-kind summer camp offerings,” said Tim Koons-McGee, co-founder of Comfy Cow. “Summertime is the perfect time to enjoy delicious, craft ice cream — but it is also a great time to explore, play and let imaginations run wild. We are committed to investing in our community that has faithfully supported us for so long.”
Camps include a Stop Motion Camp by Louisville Visual Arts, a weeklong course on the basics of stop-motion animation; Wizards, Witches and Wonders by KMAC, which uses various creative outlets to explore folklore; and a Young Dancers Intensive, where experienced young dancers can explore other forms of dance with the Louisville Ballet.
