Next summer when you go visit the folks at SuperFanU, you might want to bring your swim suit. The fast-growing startup is relocating from the Green Building in NuLu to the Germantown Mill Lofts. In addition to the courtyard pool, amenities include a fitness center, bocce ball, grilling areas, courtyards, dining and other retail space.

From one hot building in a trendy neighborhood to another, SuperFanU says it expects to be in the space by the end of the year. The company has experienced rapid growth since 2014, growing to 20 full-time and part-time employees from 5.

The new space at the Lofts will give SuperFanU wiggle room with 7,400 square feet. They’ll need it. CEO Tendai Charasika told IL that the company would be hiring five more people in positions including sales, technology and account management.

SuperFanU worked in partnership with Underhill Associates and Colin Underhill to secure the space. “We are eager to welcome SuperFanU to the Germantown Mill Lofts as they are a perfect tenant for the mixed-use space and neighborhood,” said Underhill, principal with Underhill Associates, in a news release.

“It has taken us more than six months to find the right property and developer who truly understands the needs and flexibility associated with a fast-growing technology firm,” Charasika said. “Relocating to the Germantown Mill Lofts will allow us to move into a vibrant area that fits our company culture and enhances our ability to retain and recruit top talent from our region.”

SuperFanU was co-foundeded by Kayla Mount and Chris Nowak in 2011 to partner with high schools, colleges and professional sports teams through its three divisions – SuperFanHigh, SuperFanU and SuperFanPro. It is a mobile rewards program that offers incentives to encourage fan engagement.

Of its more than 300 partners, SuperFanU’s Louisville clients include: the University of Louisville Alumni Association, Kentucky Country Day School, Walden School, Louisville Bats Baseball, Saint Xavier High School, Waggener High School, Bellarmine University and Spalding University.
