It’s OK to peek in on your neighbors from time to time — most of us are guilty of it. How many of you have gone to an open house just to look around, compare houses or gather ideas for a new kitchen or living room? The folks in Old Louisville hope to satisfy that innate curiosity with their 38th annual Old Louisville Holiday Home Tour this weekend, Dec. 6-7.
A fundraiser for the Old Louisville Neighborhood Council and the Old Louisville Information Center, the Holiday Tour includes glimpses inside eight private residences and three businesses housed in the beautiful, historic Victorian mansions. This year’s tour takes place within a small radius of Central Park.
“We’re really excited about the walkability of this year’s tour,” says Jason Scott, event chair and vice president of the Old Louisville Neighborhood Council. “The entire neighborhood has so much to offer, but focusing on the gem we have in Central Park is making it very special this year.”
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online or by calling 635-5244. The tours run from noon-6 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6-7.
