The multi-year program will seek to address the digital divide faced by some students.
Fintech firm selected for cohort
A Louisville-based fintech startup has been selected for Village Capital’s Finhealth U.S. cohort. Repaytient provides interest-free payment plans to help hospital and clinic patients pay their rising out-of-pocket expenses. They permit these payments to be made over time, which allows patients to receive medical care while managing costs.
New Uber pilot in Louisville
Uber is piloting a new feature that allows riders and drivers to record audio of individual trips. Louisville is one of only three cities in which Uber will test the new feature. Users will be made aware if their driver has chosen to record audio on trips before riding and can opt to cancel a ride with that driver if they do not want to be recorded.
