If you consider yourself an admirer of bourbon but have never been to one of the Kentucky Derby Museum‘s “Legends Series: Bourbon Masters” sessions, you should make it a point to get to one this year. Now in its fifth year, the series lets you get up close and personal with master distillers of some of your favorite brands.

The museum recently announced the lineup for the 2018 season, and it packs some heavy hitters of the industry. First up, on Friday, Feb. 16, are Wes and Kyle Henderson of Angel’s Envy, followed by Fred and Freddie Noe of Jim Beam on Thursday, March 15, and ending with Even Kulsveen of Willett on Thursday, March 29.

Hosted by bourbon authority Fred Minnick, each session includes tastings, appetizers, frank discussions on the industry and a Q&A period.

Minnick is a knowledgeable yet down-to-earth interviewer, and he isn’t afraid to ask uncomfortable questions — although most of the time he makes it feel like a casual dinner-table conversation.

Each session begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Kentucky Derby Museum, which is located inside Churchill Downs. From now through Saturday, Jan. 8, you can purchase discounted tickets to all three for $150 total (the price goes up to $200 after that).

The series is sponsored by Commonwealth Bank & Trust Co.
